1. What Surveyors.io is

Surveyors.io is a matching platform that connects clients with independent licensed land surveyors and related geospatial professionals. We are not a surveying, engineering, or law firm. All surveys and professional services are performed by independent licensed professionals under their own licenses, contracts and insurance. Nothing on this site is legal, engineering or surveying advice.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and confirm it to create an account. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may decline, suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or abuse the platform, and we may pause new account onboarding when at capacity.

3. Quotes and engagements

Quote ranges shown on the platform are estimates provided to help you compare; the final scope and price are set by the professional you engage. Your contract for surveying work is directly with that professional, not with us. We do not guarantee any particular professional's availability, pricing, or work product, and we never mark up a professional's quoted price to clients.

4. Verification

Paid surveyor profiles (Basic plan) show the license number the surveyor provides. We do not verify license numbers or insurance for these profiles, and each profile says so. You remain responsible for your own diligence in engaging a professional, including checking the license on the state licensing board's public lookup. Surveyors who list a profile confirm that they hold the license they entered.

5. Client obligations

Post only genuine job requests for property you own or are authorized to act on. Provide accurate information; professionals quote from it. Do not use the platform to harvest professionals' contact details or to solicit them for unrelated services.

6. Professional subscriptions

Surveyor plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. The Basic plan ($79 per month, or $65 per month billed yearly as $780 per year) includes a profile page, a listing on one state page with one county service area, and survey requests from the profile forwarded by email. Payments are processed by Stripe; card, invoices and cancellation are managed in the Stripe billing portal from the private link we email after payment. Pro and Enterprise plans, including lead credits, are planned and not yet sold. We may adjust plan pricing with at least 30 days' notice.

7. Acceptable use

No scraping, no automated account creation, no misrepresenting credentials, no submitting false reviews, no using the platform for unlawful purposes. We may remove content and terminate access for violations.

8. Intellectual property

The platform, its design, and its content (excluding content you or professionals submit) are ours. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the platform as intended.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the platform is limited to the greater of $100 or the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of independent professionals, or for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

10. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding conflict rules. We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use after that date is acceptance. Questions: [email protected].
