Who we are

Surveyors.io ("we", "us") operates a marketplace that matches clients with independent licensed land surveyors. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

• Account details: your email address when you create an account, and the confirmation status of that email.
• Job request details: survey type, location (state, county, city or ZIP), property type and size you enter into the matcher.
• Contact messages: the name, email, company and message you send through our contact form.
• Technical data: IP address, browser user agent, referrer and campaign parameters (UTM), and aggregate usage analytics collected through cookies or similar technologies.

How we use it

• To operate the matching service: showing you matched professionals and, when you request quotes, sharing your request scope with them.
• To send transactional email: confirmation codes, account notices and responses to your inquiries, sent from [email protected].
• To tell you about availability, features and service updates you asked to hear about. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link.
• To measure and improve the product through aggregate analytics.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not blast your phone number or email to lists of professionals. You choose who to talk to.

Sharing

We share data only with: (a) the professionals you ask to be matched with, limited to the scope of your request; (b) service providers that host our infrastructure, deliver email and provide analytics, bound by data-processing agreements; and (c) authorities where the law requires it.

Retention

Account and signup records are kept while your account exists and for up to 24 months of inactivity, then deleted or anonymized. Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months. You can request deletion at any time.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EEA), you may have additional statutory rights; we honor them.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for sessions and security, and analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. Your browser can block or delete cookies; the site keeps working.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS), access is restricted and logged, and signup forms carry anti-abuse protection. No internet service can promise perfect security; we design so that a single failure exposes as little as possible.
